Sameer Kapoor
Village Square, President
Sameer Kapoor is a management professional with a storied career across varied industries. He has helmed the leadership roles at companies like NDTV, Scholastic India and Hindustan Times, among others. After an intriguing chapter as an angel investor and entrepreneur, Kapoor transitioned to the development sector, currently providing his expertise as a Senior Advisor to the Development Alternatives Group. His domestic and international experience has seen him navigate both line and staff functions in multinational corporations and Indian companies.

Lyndee Prickitt
Village Square, Director
International journalist and award-winning digital storytelling pioneer, Lyndee Prickitt loves telling stories. As Director of Village Square she’s driven to find insightful stories coming out of rural India, too often ignored by mainstream media. She believes everyone has a compelling story – it’s just a matter of helping them share it. She also co-hosts the critically acclaimed world news podcast for kids, Newsy Pooloozi, with her ten-year-old desi daughter. She also contributes to Monocle, the New Statesman and BBC regional radio, where she first started her career.

Vishal Kumar
Village Square, Administrative Officer
Vishal Kumar is currently serving as an Administrative Officer at Village Square, deeply committed to streamlining operations and driving efficiency. He has been a content enthusiast since his college days and thus holds expertise in content management, strategy, and project execution. He is always eager to learn and try new things, and he never shies away from opportunities. He is also passionate about photography, film making and writing stories. He enjoys listening to music, traveling, and exploring India’s rich cultural heritage.

Sadaan Khan

Sadaan is a storyteller, facilitator, and partnership builder committed to amplifying rural voices. At Village Square, he curates authentic narratives and cultivates meaningful collaborations with both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, as well as art and cultural institutions. With a deep commitment to community engagement and a firm belief in the power of storytelling to drive change, Sadaan bridges rural realities with national conversations—bringing heart, perspective, and strategic partnerships to Village Square’s mission.

Smriti Mukerji
Village Square, Editor
Smriti Mukerji is a freelance journalist based out of Delhi. She enjoys taking the road less travelled, meeting new people and telling tales about her adventures. Having worked for media outlets like the India Today group, the Hindustan Times, the Pioneer and a string of other publications, Smriti now tells stories from the rural tracts of the country for Village Square.

Kiran Yadav

Kiran has been writing professionally for more than two decades. She is adept at creating various formats of content including features, speeches, op-eds, thought leadership articles, blogs, opinion pieces, and research papers. Her core areas of specialisation include rural development, CSR, health, and education. She completed her graduation in Journalism from Delhi University, and went on to pursue her Masters and M.Phil from the Centre for Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She has worked and written for The Financial Express, The Hindustan Times, The Pioneer, Business India, India Knowledge@Wharton, SOS Children’s Villages, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the Aditya Birla Group.
